Axelerate is a central operation at Axel Johnson since 2020, with the mission to gear up the diversity and inclusion work in our companies and to strengthen Axel Johnson’s social engagements towards a more inclusive society. The ambition is for Axel Johnson to become a leader in diversity and inclusion. Axelerate works with group-wide activities and knowledge building initiatives for all employees and leaders.

We run several leadership programs targeting younger talents, as well as more senior leaders and specialists. As a participant in a program, you get to work with the most important issues on our companies' agendas, get inspired, develop and get to know other people within the group.

Axfoundation is an independent, non-profit organization that innovates and accelerates solutions for a more sustainable world. They work results-oriented and practically to find answers to local and global sustainability challenges, in order to bring about real change.

Since 2008, Mitt Liv (“My Life” in Swedish) has worked towards an inclusive labor market that values diversity. It stems from a strong conviction about everyone's equal opportunities for jobs and equal conditions in Swedish working life. Its belief is that through new meetings we break prejudices and grow together. Their efforts are mainly aimed at two groups: employers who need knowledge, strategies and tools to successfully work with diversity and inclusion, as well as academics with a foreign background who lack jobs corresponding to their skills.

The Global Village Foundation strives to include everyone in social, economic and political life. Their role is to build connections and new knowledge that stimulates people to broaden perspectives on societal issues, as well as develop their self-awareness and views of others. Among other things, the foundation is behind Järvaveckan (“Järva Week” in Swedish), which aims to reduce the distance between elected politicians and citizens by bringing down societal barriers.

Our portal ÖppnaDörren is an umbrella for non-profit integration initiatives, which facilitate meetings for social inclusion between new and established Swedes. ÖppnaDörren and Yrkesdörren are founded by Axfoundation and today operate within Axelerate.
STAY CHALLENGED THROUGH IMPATIENT AND LONG-TERM CHANGE
In ten years, 50 percent of what we do will be things we do not do today. We know that change is necessary, painful at times, and a whole lot of fun. To succeed, we must constantly challenge ourselves and each other. Therefore, we urge you to draw outside the lines, walk down new paths and question norms. By engaging in innovation competitions and other strategic initiatives, you can participate and contribute to our ambitious 10/50 renewal goal.

AXLAB and AXLABx is our innovation competition that we have hosted since 2017. It's a place for renewal in the form of an innovation platform, open for 48 hours. All employees within the Axel Johnson Group are invited to participate to increase our renewal speed and competitiveness. Our employees know the business and our operations best and that is why we want them to question our existing way of doing things. Through these initiatives, everyone can influence how we will develop in the future.
